View DetailsThe Baseball Federation of India (BFI) is the national governing body for baseball in India, recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, and affiliated with the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC). Established in 1983, BFI has been at the forefront of promoting and developing baseball across the nation.
Our mission is to foster the growth of baseball at all levels, from grassroots initiatives to elite national teams. We strive to create opportunities for athletes, coaches, and officials while upholding the highest standards of sportsmanship and integrity.
With a network of 28 state associations and over 15,000 registered players, BFI organizes national championships, coaching clinics, umpire certification programs, and international competitions. We are committed to making baseball a mainstream sport in India and achieving excellence on the global stage.
Our History
Recognized by WBSC & Government of India
Baseball Federation of India was officially founded with the aim of promoting baseball as a competitive sport in India.
BFI gained recognition from the Indian Olympic Association and became a member of the World Baseball Softball Confederation.
Hosted the first Asian Baseball Championship qualifiers in New Delhi, marking India's debut in international baseball competitions.
Launched the Grassroots Development Program to introduce baseball in schools and colleges across 15 states.
Indian national team achieved its highest WBSC ranking at 24th position following strong performances in Asian competitions.
Celebrating 40 years of promoting baseball in India with expanded programs reaching over 500 schools and 28 state associations.

India's premier baseball event featuring state teams from across the country. Over 500 athletes will compete for the national title at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi.
India hosts Group B of the Asia Cup qualifiers featuring national teams from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Maldives. Top team advances to Asia Cup finals.
Advanced coaching certification for experienced coaches seeking to work with elite athletes. Conducted by WBSC-certified instructors. Limited to 25 participants.
Annual inter-school championship for U-14 and U-17 categories. Over 200 schools expected to participate in zonal and national level competitions.
The Indian national baseball team secured a historic bronze medal at the 19th Asian Baseball Championship in Taipei, defeating Philippines 5-3 in the third-place match. This marks India's first podium finish in 12 years at the continental championship.
